In regards to war, the Greeks used advanced weopanry technology to defend their cities and to attack opposing threats.

There were hundreds of different gods for different scenarios, e.g. Demeter - God of the Harvest or Ares - God of war.

Different households prayed to different Gods, depending on their needs.

Athenians believed Athena (goddess of wisdom/strategy) fought Poseidon to become the guardian of Athens.

The Greeks believed the Gods had the power to shape-shift and use magic

Oracles would inhale natural gasses as they believed it allowed them to communicate with the Gods and predict the future.

Facts:

The design of pottery evolved from a geometric style in 1100BCE to the inclusion and focus on figures during the Black-Figure period in 750BCE.
-
Art grew to include depictions of mythological scenes and historical events and figures.
-
The design of sculptures also developed from rigid simplistic designs to include finite detail and precision. It went from rough to refine over the course of 400 years.
-
The sculptures of Ancient Greece also used to be in colour, however over time they have faded to show the marble underneath.
